The Speakers this month are Deborah Griffiths and Catherine Siba the Authors of Watershed Moments-A Pictorial History of Courtenay and District
Deb Griffiths is the Executive Director of the Courtenay and District Museum and has been involved in museum research and curatorial work in BC for over thirty years. Her work includes storyline research and writing for natural and social history. She has a Master of Arts from Royal Roads University. Aside from Watershed Moments, she has written a book on grant writing and two novels.
Catherine Siba is a graduate of the University of Victoria, Catherine is the Curator of Social History at the Courtenay and District Museum. Catherine has led a number of historic digitization projects and has been involved with museum curatorship and research for many years. Catherine has researched and written numerous storylines and articles and manages the extensive archival and photo collection at the Courtenay and District Museum.
There will be a Registration Table where new members can collect their badges. Door Prize tickets (for $25.00 gift vouchers) will also be handed out.
