This was another double destination day for the Hiking Group.
1. Williams Beach
We completed a 10 km circuit through the forest on the maze of trails in the Williams Beach area. Some new and old mountain bike features were particularly interesting. After our romp in the forest we all hiked down the short steep trail to have lunch on the beach. A beautiful day with great company.

2. East Puntledge
The second hike was centred along the East Puntledge, from Bevan to the BC Hydro Dam day-use park. This proved to be another popular outing, with twelve signing up, so we divided into two groups. By tackling the trail system loops in opposite directions, the groups kept well apart from each other, just meeting briefly over the lunch break at the picnic area. There were plenty of smiles at the end of the hike, so it was evident that all enjoyed the outing, having a close look at nature while chattering most of the way. A stop was made at the remains of the coal-mine buildings to see how they’ve been faring the last few years (still lots of graffiti!) and multiple quick stops were fitted in for taking photos of the interesting plants scattered along the trails.
