Wow, what a glorious day we had for this outing! With crystal clear skies overhead and several inches of fresh powder underfoot, ten of us left Ramparts Hill pullout to head towards the Browns River viewpoint. The terrain was rather steep, so we opted to retrace our steps to another lookout for a lunch break. Then we proceeded on to the cabin, which ultimately was our destination, albeit by an exploratory route. After a short break for photo ops, we headed back to the vehicles. After accomplishing 6 km. over the space of 3 hours, we felt that we'd all had a very energetic hike. Once in town, we stopped at Bigfoot for coffee and donuts to refuel.
