I have to say that the weather made our Picnic/BBQ day a bit of a cliffhanger! Rain on and off during the morning and early afternoon brought thoughts of “will people come” to “where do we go if it starts raining when we are eating” to “what do we do with 90 burgers” if it continues to rain”!
In the event, as everyone who attended knows, and that was in the region of 75+ members, the weather relented, and by the late afternoon, the temperature was ideal for a picnic. The array of food was amazing and judging from the photos attached, enjoyed by all.
Thank you to all the Management Committee for helping with the set up and take down, and particular thanks to Anne for organizing, and to Steve ‘Masterchef” Ray for his cooking expertise and that digital meat thermometer that was so useful.
