Digital Scavenger Hunt
If you are up for a twist on the conventional scavenger hunt, please dig out your most comfortable shoes and consider joining us on Sunday, June 27th (weather permitting) for a digital interactive neighbourhood scavenger hunt followed by a wrap-up and/or dinner at Roy’s Towne Pub. In the event of inclement weather or further Provincial Health COVID-19 restrictions, and at the discretion of the co-ordinators, this event may be rescheduled with 24-48 hours’ notice, so please be alert to emails to that effect.
Here’s how it all works:
• Entrance fee is $24.00 cash per team (to cover the cost of fuel for drivers, small prizes and sundry expenses), to be paid in cash on the day of the event.
• Teams will consist of 4 participants who must stay together for the duration of the game.
• Each team must have a driver, and drivers will be given $10 compensation towards their fuel costs.
• Each team must have at least one person to take photos/videos and camera/phone to take them on. All pictures must be taken during the duration of the game.
• You can organize your own team (to be submitted by deadline); otherwise teams will be made up by the co-ordinators within a day or two of the event.
• A task list will be provided, and teams will be given 15 minutes just prior to the event to review it and strategize.
• Teams will then be given 2 hours to complete as many items on the list as possible.
• Items on the task list will have points attached (so teams should take this into consideration when strategizing).
• The list will consist of things to be photographed, team pictures (other than the person holding the camera) at identified locations, (to be videoed and brought back as evidence).
• Teams must submit their digital evidence to the co-ordinators at Roy’s Towne Pub by 4:00 p.m., or risk a deduction of points (as set out on the bottom of the task list).
• Participants must be prepared to be a little bold and crazy.
Entry Deadline: 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 22, 2021.
Meeting Location and Time for final team selection, instructions, and strategizing is:
Roy’s Towne Pub
4000 S Old Island Highway, Royston, BC V9N 1Y2
Sunday, June 27 @ 1:30 p.m.

Roy’s Towne Pub
4000 S Old Island Highway, Royston, BC V9N 1Y2

This event is organized strictly for the fun of it and the opportunity to engage with other members of our Probus Group. The Winning Team will be recognized in the Club Newsletter and given boasting rights.
