5 enthusiastic cyclists set out to ride a route designed by Gary Lucas, in his temporary absence. While Gary could not be present in body, he was very much present in the spirit of this very enjoyable outing. We wandered through central Courtenay (finding our way out of town along the backroads) all the way to Bevan. This first part was all uphill, which meant we had almost total downhill back into Courtenay for a highly animated coffee at Broken Spoke. Along the way back we improvised our way through Creekside Commons, Tin Town and the Rotary trail for a final distance total of 24km.
