Missing our dedicated coordinator, a brave group carried on with the planned ride to Comox Lake. Most of our hills were climbed before we reached Cumberland. We had the road to ourselves from Cumberland to the lake. After relaxing by the lake for a while the thought of coffee gave us the incentive to ride back to Cumberland. In the warm sun the patio at The Grind was a great spot to sit and sip. Our departure was delayed when the conversation turned to delicious treats, prompting one of the Bills to make an unplanned trip to the bakery. Gravity was on our side for most of the way back to Courtenay.
