A small brave group drove to Nanaimo to try out a new route in and above Linley Valley. There were homes near the trail at the extreme east and west ends of our route. The rest of the time we saw no signs of the city that surrounded us. The trails ranged from wide gravel to narrow and steep single track with some mud, roots and rock scrambles. We passed by creeks and four small lakes. Several rock outcrops provided beautiful views. It's a keeper!
