We started our outing at Coal Creek Historic Park with a contribution to nature as we nourished a surprising number of mosquitoes. Fortunately they thinned out as we made our way to Allen Lake where we enjoyed the view and snacks. At China Bowls we were shocked by the state of Perseverance Creek. There was barely a trickle of water and the bowls were almost empty. We all had lunch in the gazebo where Cumberland's China Town once stood.
