On some hikes it takes a wide angle lens and photo editing to get everyone into a group shot. On others a selfie will do the trick. Our hike from East Courtenay to Melda's Marsh in Seal Bay Park was easily in the latter category. As everyone opted for the green option of a bike ride to the start we changed up the route a bit to take advantage of trails closer to our bike lockup. That added a short stretch of very wet unmaintained trail that provoked hardly any cursing. We completed our 15.5 kilometer route and a debrief at Milano well before noon.
