The 23 km return trip to the Cruikshank Canyon Viewpoint is one of the most challenging in our group's repertoire. With lots of hills to climb in both directions we all finished quite exhausted. And yet it is always a popular hike, a highlight of the season for some of us. Why? The route passes by 7 beautiful alpine lakes and through Paradise and Murray Meadows. And then there is the breathtaking views from the top of Cruikshank Canyon. Two groups completed the trip this time. One led by Bill Jorgensen was billed as "photography friendly". Indeed the day was very well documented. In addition to the pictures below please check out online albums by Katie Hubberstey and Bill Jorgensen.
