With a heatwave moving into our neighbourhood we started out shortly after 7:00 AM to beat the heat. It worked out beautifully. Our route through Seal Bay Park was all in the shade except for our beach walk at the beginning. Plump ripe huckleberries were a delicious distraction beside the trails. Temperatures were comfortable throughout our 13 kilometer route. On the last stretch along the top of the bluffs above the ocean a brisk sea breeze felt so good.
