It was a wonderful day for the 3 hill Seal Bay Park Hike. There were 18 avid hikers who arrived, so we split into two groups going in opposite directions. This group was committed to a brisk pace and all 3 hill climbs. The trails were in excellent shape with only occasional mud. We enjoyed a really good workout in addition to a considerable amount of cheerful conversation. The hike was punctuated with lots of humor, such as limbo dancing under low branches and our leader losing his gloves in his own pockets. Everyone enjoyed the hike and looks forward to the next outing.

Our group took much the same trail system as the first group, but in the opposite direction. We kept up a good pace on the level sections but must admit to slowing down on the ascents from the three beach areas visited - our aim here was to go all the way up without stopping. It was sure good to get the exercise in such lovely surroundings! For the birders amongst us, the plentiful birdlife (not to mention all the seals and sea lions!) off the coast made our breaks down on the shore quite interesting.
