With clear blue skies and perfect hiking temperatures a group of 6 set out from the Coal Creek Historic Park on their way to the Upper Trent River waterfalls. We followed a new route this year which including going up one side of Allen Lake on the way out to the falls and returning on the opposite side of the lake. The waterfalls did not disappoint and made for a great spot to sit back, bask in the sunshine and enjoy lunch while listening to the sounds of the falls in the background. The trip was a 14.7 km loop using existing biking trails and a few short sections on logging roads.
