Our destination for this hike was Mt Elma. It will likely be our last time crossing Paradise Meadows without spikes or snowshoes for this season. On our way to the Mt Elma trail, frost made some of the boardwalks very slippery. Fortunately with slow, careful steps on those parts we all made it through unscathed. The steep climb up the mountain was actually less slippery than usual with no loose dry dirt and no frost. Clear skies and cool temperatures made for an excellent day on the mountain. We all enjoyed lingering at the top soaking in the sun and views.
