The Cumberland Mountain-biking trail system was the venue for our outing on Tuesday. By starting from the trailhead at 08:30, we were able to avoid the worst of the day's warmth, arriving back at our cars by early afternoon. Eighteen signed up for this one, so we divided into two groups, tackling the route (which included the climb up Nikkei Mountain and a pass-by Allen Lake) in opposite directions. It was a good workout, enjoyable for everyone. For a debrief, we moved on to the Number Six Mine Park where we sat in the shade and chatted - isn't it so great that we can have this sort of interaction once more?!
