The Great Big View and Finger Glades route is a good workout when the trail is packed down. The route includes a steep 100 meter climb almost right away, and another 100 meter climb before the half way mark. With about 20 centimeters of fresh heavy snow to break trail through it is a GREAT workout. In some places snow had drifted considerably deeper. We took turns breaking trail for about 4.5 of the 6 kilometer route. About every 50 paces the person at the front of the line would step aside and take up the rear. Amazingly, there were lots of laughs along the way.
