This month Jill Nelson will be giving a short talk on the 55+ BC games organisation.
The main speaker will be Bryon Horner the Director of the film ‘Great Bear Rainforest’.
Byron lives in Parksville with his wife Nicole and their two boys. Byron has been the President of Copperlion Capital (a family office of the Washington Family) since 2007. The Washington Family's BC operations include Seaspan, the Vancouver and Victoria shipyards and Southern Rail (the former contract operator of the E&N rail line on Vancouver Island).
Byron has a broad business experience as an investor and financial executive. Previously, he worked as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch & Co. and CIBC World Markets in New York and Vancouver. Prior to working in New York, Byron worked at the law firm Lawson Lundell LLP and was called to the BC Bar.
He is President of Spirit Bear Entertainment Inc., Executive Producer of the "Great Bear Rainforest" IMAX film, Executive Director of the Washington Kids Foundation a registered charity serving at-risk youth and the coach of the Ballenas Secondary boys junior basketball team.
There will be a Registration Table where new members can collect their badges. Door Prize tickets (for $25.00 gift vouchers) will also be handed out. Tickets are now available for the annual Summer Picnic on 4th July.
